Tips and Assistance

On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, to assist applicants in developing successful grant proposals, the Department of Education is sponsoring an On-line Pre-Application Technical Assistance Workshop for the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Program 2018 Grant Competition. We will share information regarding GAANN program requirements, the application submission process, and also address questions regarding the competition. There will be one live on-line session from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions after the session.

If you are interested in participating in the session, please register here, provide your name, email, telephone number, institution, department, and the academic area in which you are interested in submitting an application by close of business on August 3, 2018. Registration will be from August 2-3, 2018.

NOTE: Up to 250 participants can join in the On-line Pre-Application Technical Assistance Workshop session in one of two ways: By EITHER dialing into the workshop using the conference number and entering the conference ID OR by selecting the Skype for Business Link. Information will be provided in the meeting invite.

If you are at an institution in which more than one department will apply, we strongly encourage one registration from the institution and that interested departments meet at one location at the institution to participate in the session.
