Native Hawaiian Career and Technical Education Program (NHCTEP), CFDA Number 84.259A [PDF]
NHCTEP provides roughly $3 million annually to community-based organizations primarily serving and representing Native Hawaiians to plan, conduct, and administer career and technical programs for Native Hawaiian students. In FY 2009, 8 grants were awarded through a competitive application process for a 3-year period. A new competition is not scheduled at this time.
Native American Career and Technical Education Program (NACTEP), CFDA Number 84.101A [PDF]
NACTEP provides roughly $14.6 million annually to federally-recognized Indian tribes, tribal organizations, Alaskan Native entities, and eligible Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA)-funded schools to provide career and technical education programs for Native Americans and Alaskan Natives. In FY 2007, 30 grants were awarded through a competitive application process for a 5-year period. A new competition is not scheduled at this time.
Tribally Controlled Postsecondary Career and Technical Institutions Program; Proposed Waivers and Extension of the Project Period (TCPCTIP), CFDA Number 84.245A [PDF]
TCPCTIP provides approximately $7.3 million annually to tribally controlled postsecondary career and technical institutions that do not receive federal support under the Tribally Controlled College of University Assistance Act of 1978 or the Navajo Community College Act to provide basic support for the education and training of Native American students in career and technical education programs. In FY 2007, 2 grants were awarded through a competitive application process for a 5-year period. A new competition is not scheduled at this time.
