PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Uses of these grants include teacher training, curriculum development, instructional materials or general school improvement and reform, and direct educational services. The Pacific Region Educational Laboratory (PREL) provides technical assistance and makes recommendations for funding grants to the Secretary of Education.
In December 2015, the passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) eliminated Territories and Freely Associated States Education Grants (T&FASEG) program. The program will conclude at the end of fiscal year 2016.
