In June 2001, the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE) announced the availability of $5 million in High School Reform State Grants authorized under Part A of Title X of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. The High School Reform State Grant program will allow states to support local efforts to improve the academic performance of high school students and provide them with technical skills training. At the local level, the funds will help students attain their State's academic and technical skill proficiencies. The Guide to Education programs has complete information on the grants.
