Pursuant to 20 U.S.C. 1412(a)(23), each State must provide assurance to the Secretary that the State has policies and procedures in effect to ensure that it has adopted the National Instruction Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS) for the purpose of providing instructional materials to blind persons or other persons with print disabilities, in a timely manner.
