Privacy Act Guidance
Office of the Chief Privacy Officer (OCPO) staff consult with principal offices about the privacy and accessibility of information that is retrievable by personal identifier (name, SSN, etc.).
Staff also assist offices in notifying the public (in the Federal Register) when systems of records containing such data are created and maintained by the Department. New or amended notices from principal offices will be reviewed and commented on for publication in the Federal Register.
