The Inspector General Act of 1978 (Public Law 95-452), as amended, requires that the Inspector General report semiannually to the Congress on the activities of the OIG during the 6-month periods ending March 31 and September 30. These reports highlight the audits and related reports issued during the time frame, as well as provide information on OIG investigations and other activities, such as Congressional testimony. Each Semiannual Report also includes summary tables containing statistical data as required by the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, and the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2008.
