Patrick McCarthy has served as the confidential assistant to the U.S. Department of Education’s General Counsel since July 2021. Before joining the Department, he served as Regional Organizing Director for the Florida Democratic Party. He gained field experience working on the Biden for President Campaign as a Field Organizer in New Hampshire, Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia before assignment to the Florida Democratic Party. Prior to the Biden for President Campaign, Patrick worked as a Business Immigration Analyst in Seyfarth Shaw LLP's Immigration Group.
He graduated with Honors as a Government major and Philosophy minor from Colby College, where he captained the men’s squash team.
