Senior Counsel

William (Will) Desmond has served as Senior Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel since February 2021. He previously worked as an attorney in the Office of the General Counsel for the Biden-Harris Transition. Prior to that, Will worked as a Senior Associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Wilmer Hale, an international law firm, where he represented and advised corporate and non-profit clients in criminal, civil, and regulatory matters. While attending law school, he interned in the Economic Crimes Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts and in the Educational Opportunities Section of the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.
Will is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Yale University.
