Login Guidance for External Users

The guides below are designed to help Department of Education users who must use Login.gov's services to log into Department applications. These guides will walk you through how to create an account, what to do if you already have a Login.gov account for a different federal agency, and how to set up verification methods if you don't already have them registered for your Login.gov account. Please note that your application will tell you if you need a Self-Asserted Identity and Authentication Account or Verified Identity and Authentication Account set up.
