TEACH! SouthCoast is an alternative teacher preparation program that supports secondary and middle school mathematics and science teacher candidates in achieving a Massachusetts initial teaching license. This post-baccalaureate program will integrate teaching practice and coursework in a yearlong immersion model at a SouthCoast high-need school. Participants will complete courses and teaching practice in cohorts. Experienced teachers will serve in key leadership roles to provide supervision during the preparation phase and mentoring in the induction years. Upon completion of the requirements for Massachusetts full initial license, TEACH! SouthCoast candidates also will participate in a new teacher support network for three years that includes both onsite and e-mentoring.
