  • The U.S. Secretary of Education is authorized to award grants for this competition under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Title V, Part B, Subpart 1, Charter School Programs. See Section 5205B (describes the State Charter School Facilities Incentive Grants program) and Section 5202E (describes the competitive priority for the program). Visit: http://www2.ed.gov/policy/elsec/leg/esea02/pg62.html#5205b
