***SPECIAL ALERT***
Notice Announcing Additional Requirement for Applicants and Grantees (Discretionary Grant Programs):
This notice informs certain applicants and grantees that a provision in interim final guidance issued by the Office of Management and Budget on Sept. 14, 2010, applies to them even though that provision was not included in their respective application notices. The provision requires each of these entities doing business with the Department to maintain an active registration with the Central Contracting Registry while its application is under review and, should it receive a grant, during its project period. The requirement took effect on Oct. 1, 2010, and is now included in all of the Department’s application notices. However, the entities affected by this notice are those whose application notices were published before the effective date but whose application deadlines fell on or after the effective date. The issuance of this notice will not require any affected entity to amend its application.
Applicants and grantees should check the Federal Register for additional requirements related to registration of its Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number and its Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) with the Central Contracting Registry (CCR). This notice will publish in the Federal Register in the next few days.
