The U.S. Secretary of Education is authorized to award grants for this competition under Division F, Title III of the Department of Education Appropriations Act, 2012.

The Department is accepting public comment until October 4, 2012, on the Notice of Proposed Priorities for the SEED program in 77 FR 53819 of the Federal Register.
