Program Description

The Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) Grant Program provides funding for grants to national non-profit organizations for projects that are supported by at least moderate evidence to recruit, select, and prepare or provide professional enhancement activities for teachers, principals, or both.

What's New

The Department published a Notice Inviting Applications for the 2015 SEED competition. Applications are due on April 13, 2015. Please see the Applicant Information page for more information about this year’s competition.

The Department will host an interactive question and answer webinar session on March 10, 2015 at 2 PM Eastern Time to answer questions from potential applicants on the SEED program and the application process. Intent to Apply

Potential applicants are encouraged to submit an intent to apply email. The e-mail notification should be sent to the SEED program at no later than March 12, 2015. Applicants that fail to provide this e-mail notification may still apply for funding.
