FY2010 Awards

The U.S. Department of Education awarded five grants totaling $3,577,233 million in September 2010. Below is a list of the five 2010 grantees, along with a description of their projects, the first-year award amount for each grantee, and contact information. Each grantee can be expected to receive continuation awards in future year, increasing the total award of the grant during its duration.

Center for Educational Innovation – Public Education Association (CEI-PEA)

Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS)

$807,058

National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA)

$745,941

Project description: Document the effective policies and practices of model authorizers; Develop a comprehensive research-based set of integrated policies and practices; Pilot model authorizer practices at four demonstration sites; Disseminate promising practices to audiences with direct authority to influence change in charter school authorizing. Grant contact: Greg Richmond (312) 376-2311 or gregr@qualitycharters.org.

 

WestEd
