1. Who is eligible to receive a grant under the Congressional Academies for Students of American History and Civics Education program?

For the FY 2006 competition, an eligible applicant must submit evidence of its expertise in historical methodology or the teaching of history and must be an/a:

  • Institution of higher education (IHE);
  • Museum;
  • Library;
  • Other public or private agency, organization or institution; or
  • Consortium of eligible entities.

Note: If more than one eligible entity wish to form a consortium and jointly submit a single application, they must follow the procedures for group applications described in 34 CFR 75.127 through 34 CFR 75.129 of the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR).
