The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) is conducting a five-year study to evaluate the state and local impact and implementation of the (IDEA) of 1997. The evaluation will provide information on the types and impacts of policies and practices engaged in by states, school districts, and schools to implement the provisions of IDEA '97, particularly with regard to nine key issues identified by the law.
