Title IV of the 1964 Civil Rights Act--Desegregation of Public Education which funds the Training and Advisory Services Equity Assistance Centers. The purpose of this program is to award grants (cooperative agreements) to operate regional equity assistance centers to provide technical assistance and training, at the request of school boards and other responsible governmental agencies, on issues related to equity in education.

Age Discrimination Overview of the Laws (Oct 12, 2001)
The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 prohibits discrimination based on age in programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance. The Age Discrimination regulation is enforced by the Office for Civil Rights and is in the Code of Federal Regulations at 34 CFR Part 110. The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 does not cover employment discrimination.
