Objective: To change criminal behavior by changing life-style patterns.
Procedures: Inmates will participate in a 12-week program providing positive interaction with community volunteers. Participants who complete the 12-week program will move into other programs in the prison; such as, Second Chance (an inhouse intensive drug and alcohol rehabilitation program), Relapse Prevention Program, Work Release Program, or to parole or release. Sessions will be offered in English and Spanish.
Outcomes/Results/Products: Success will be measured by a reduction of disciplinary infractions, pre- and post-test measures, and recidivism.
