Objective: To expand the existing life skills curriculum and provide community placement and job development services targeting offenders whose diagnostic assessment results indicate a deficiency in knowledge and application of life skills and evidence of substance abuse.
Procedures: Life skills specialists and graduate students provide group learning and assist the offender with individualized computer assisted instruction.
Outcomes/Results/Products: To reduce recidivism through the implementation of a life skills program model which integrates instruction with transitional monitoring and counseling.
