On February 8, Secretary Riley testified before the Senate Committee on the Budget on President Clinton's FY2001 Education Budget

On February 23, Assistant Secretary Michael Cohen testified before the Senate Committee on Indian affairs on the FY2001 Budget for Department of Education Programs that Serve Indians.

On February 29, Secretary Riley testified before the Senate Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, and Education Appropriations on President Clinton's FY2001 Education Budget

On March 9, Secretary Riley testified before the House Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, and Education Appropriations on President Clinton's FY2001 Education Budget

During March and April 2000, Education Department officials, and officials of the Special Institutions that are funded in the ED Appropriations Act, will appear before the House Subcommittee on Labor-HHS-ED Appropriations to testify on the FY 2001 Education Budget:
