Car   Train   Airports and Hotels

From I-66:

  • Follow I-66 East across the Roosevelt Memorial Bridge and onto Constitution Ave.
  • Do NOT follow the airport signs!
  • Take Constitution Ave., turn left onto Louisiana Ave. and then left onto New Jersey Ave.
  • Take New Jersey Ave. onto 2nd St. N.W., and turn right on K St. and right on 1st St. N.E.
  • Go one block to Union Center Plaza, which is on the right. The Dept. of Education Bldg. is behind Bldg. 810

From 395:

  • Take 395 N. to Washington, DC
  • Cross the 14th St. Bridge, then take the 12th St. exit to Constitution Ave.
  • Take New Jersey Ave. onto 2nd St. N.W., then turn right on K Street and right on 1st N.E.
  • Go one block to Union Center Plaza, which is on the right. The Dept. of Education Bldg. is behind Bldg. 810

From I-270:

  • Take I-270 to I-495 heading toward northern Virginia.
  • Take the George Washington Memorial Parkway exit.
  • Follow the G.W. Parkway to 395 North/Washington.
  • Follow the directions above for taking I-395.

From 295: (B/W Parkway):

  • Take 295 south to New York Ave.
  • Take New York Ave. west to 395 south.
  • Take the 7th St. SW exit.
  • Take 7th St. north to Constitution Ave.
  • Take Constitution Ave., turn left onto Louisiana Ave. and then left onto New Jersey Ave.
  • Take New Jersey Ave. onto 2nd St. N.W., then turn right on K Street and right on 1st N.E.
  • Go one block to Union Center Plaza, which is on the right. The Dept. of Education Bldg. is behind Bldg. 810.

Parking:

There is metered parking on both First St. N.E. and K St., and there are parking lots and garages along both streets.

Please show identification when you register at the security desk next to the FSA Learning Center entrance on the ground floor.

Rooms G-1102-A and G-1102-B are inside the entrance of the learning center.

Metro Rail:

  • Take Metro Rail's Red line to Union Station.
  • Follow the exit signs for First St. NE.
  • Exit onto First St. and head north two blocks. The Department is on the left side, set back from the street and adjacent to the CNN building.

Amtrak:

  • Take Amtrak to Union Station.
  • Exit Union Station onto First St. NE.
  • Head north on First St. two blocks. The Department is on the left side, set back from the street and adjacent to the CNN building.

MARC Train:

  • Take MARC Train to Union Station.
  • Exit Union Station onto First St. NE.
  • Head north on First St. two blocks. The Department is on the left side, set back from the street and adjacent to the CNN building.

Virginia Railway Express:

  • Take the VRE to Union Station.
  • Exit Union Station onto First St. NE.
  • Head north on First St. two blocks. The Department is on the left side, set back from the street and adjacent to the CNN building.
