The National Institute on Educational Governance, Finance, Policy-Making, and Management has also supported a number of other centers. The funding of these centers ended in 1996. These include the following:

The Finance Center of the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE - Finance Center)

The Finance Center's work focuses on three goals: (1) to understand more completely how the education finance system works in order to foster finance aid program policy coherence that will lead to increased student outcomes; (2) to study how finance policies can respond to the diverse needs of students, schools, postsecondary institutions, districts, and states; and (3) to focus education finance research on outcomes, program quality and productivity by studying effective management strategies in schools and postsecondary academic departments - the production units in the system. The Policy Center of the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE - Policy Center)

The Policy Center conducts and disseminates research focused on policies that promote the improvement of student learning. The Center focuses on: (1) policies that increase learning of students; (2) the coherence of state and local policies; and (3) the responsiveness of state and local policies to the needs of all students, schools, communities and states. Center on Organization and Restructuring of Schools (CORS)

The Center's mission is to study how organizational features of schools impact the intellectual and social competence of students. The Center focuses on changes that affect experiences of students in school; the professional life of teachers; the governance, management, and leadership of schools; and the coordination of community resources to better serve educationally disadvantaged students.
