|Q&A Session on Education and International Space Exploration (November 18, 2008)|
|Deputy Secretary Raymond Simon welcomes students from Poolesville High School, Maryland in the Department's Auditorium on Tuesday, November 18th. Students from Quito, Ecuador and Raleigh, North Carolina participated via video teleconference. With the assistance of NASA's Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) program, students conducted a Q&A session with ISS astronaut Mike Finke and amateur radio enthusiasts in Canada, England, Italy, China, Spain and Hawaii about the importance of a rigorous math, science and foreign language education in international space exploration.
