On Sunday, June 24th, the 2007 Presidential Scholars convene in the grandeur of the Andrew Mellon Auditorium for the Teacher Recognition dinner. 2007 Presidential Scholar Reed Gilbow poses with Alyson Jones and her Teacher Recognition Award.  Ms. Jones is the Head Guidance Counselor at Gilbow’s high school in Mississippi.  Each Presidential Scholar presents the program’s Teacher Recognition Award to the one teacher, counselor, or school administrator who has been his or her greatest influence and inspiration
Scholars and friends enjoy each other’s company in the Andrew Mellon Auditorium.  Family, teachers, the 2006 Teacher of the Year and the National Director of the National Science Foundation attended the Teacher Recognition dinner.
