Secretary Duncan will speak at the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida. He will highlight the success of core reform efforts underway in Florida and across the country thanks to the hard work and leadership of parents, teachers, principals and district and state officials. He will also outline his vision for the future of education.

Secretary Duncan will travel to Chicago for two events:
Secretary Duncan will join John Rogers, chair of the President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans, and participate in a discussion with business leader Mellody Hobson in an event to highlight the investment that Chicago is making in financial literacy.

Secretary Duncan will deliver remarks during the National Science Teachers Association's National Conference on Science Education. He will thank teachers for their hard work, give them credit for the progress the country has seen in education, and encourage them in their efforts going forward. After his remarks, he will participate in a panel discussion with science teachers. A press availability will precede the event.

Friday, March 13
Secretary Duncan will deliver remarks at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standard's Teaching & Learning Conference. Secretary Duncan will reflect on the milestones that educators have achieved during the first year of the Teach to Lead campaign and the importance of empowering teachers and principals as leaders.
