Student Financial Aid Training Contracts

The U.S. Department of Education is seeking contractual support to develop, conduct, and provide support for national training programs and other activities which inform Student Financial Assistance Programs (SFAP) participants of statutory and regulatory requirements of the federal student aid programs. The U.S. Department of Education uses a variety of methods to train school personnel in the administration and management of the Title IV programs, including traditional lecture training, "hands on" software training, publications, videos, video conferences, and computer-based instruction.
Requests to be placed on the mailing list for the solicitation, RFP 97-017, may be directed to Ms. Yolanda Abney at (202) 708-6498. It is anticipated that two or more contracts will be awarded, one of which is being reserved for an 8(a) firm. The period of performance for this contract is 18 months. Four one-year options are anticipated. Questions concerning the solicitation are due in writing two weeks after the actual issue date .
