Abstract:

The Impact Aid Program (IAP) provides payments to compensate school districts for the cost of educating children when enrollments and local revenues have been adversely affected by federal activities (e.g., a large military base would simultaneously result in more children enrolled in the school district and fewer tax dollars). The IAP system processes payments to eligible school districts.
