This is incorrect. Officer discretion is allowed only for weapons, drug, and liquor law violation arrests and referrals that occur during the same incident. Use the Hierarchy Rule and count this as one on-campus aggravated assault because that is the more serious crime. (See Chapter 3, pages 53 and 66 in the handbook.
