This is a map of the 50 United States indicating each state's status for meeting Assessment requirements under Title I, Part A of the No Child Left Behind Act. There are 4 "assessment status" categories: Full approval; 1-year timeline waiver; 2-year timeline waiver; and compliance agreement. As of September 30, 2002, 4 states (Montana, Idaho, Alabama and West Virginia) and the District of Columbia have a compliance agreement, 21 states (Alaska, Hawaii, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina and New Jersey) have a two-year timeline waiver, 2 states Utah and Arkansas) have a one-year timeline waiver, and the remaining 23 states have full approval.
