Explanation: This indicator has been a GPRA indicator for a number of years. With this indicator, RSA examines State agency performance regarding supported employment for individuals with the most significant disabilities. Individuals in supported employment can achieve competitive employment (with wages at or above the minimum wage), although not all individuals in supported employment do achieve these competitive wages. RSA wants to encourage State agencies to help individuals with disabilities in supported employment to achieve these competitive employment outcomes. FY 2001 was the year that served as the baseline for this measure and for establishing its targets. In FYs 2002 and 2003, State VR agencies surpassed their targets for this indicator.
