The OVAE Fact Sheet Series highlights efforts currently underway at the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE) to support the principles of the President's No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. The principle(s) supported by this effort are checked.

A defining characteristic of the 21st century economy has been the emergence of high-skill, high-growth occupations where job entry does not require a four-year degree, but where the career success demands on-going education. These changes, in turn, are causing postsecondary institutions to become more creative and flexible in their programmatic and delivery structures.
The OVAE funded project seeks to capture information on the emerging models being developed through collaborative relationships that often include business, industry, trade organizations, and institutions of higher education. In addition to identifying emerging models, this effort will also identify the essential components of all model types.
The investigation focuses on:
- How are these partnerships formed?
- How are they structured?
- Who is involved in their operations?
- What are the roles of each member of the partnership?
Outcomes and Products
- Final report that presents an enhanced framework of common program features and provides policy and research recommendations. The report will also include iindividual profiles of sites highlighting the program's structure and delivery mechanisms.
