The key goals of the TQP program are to prepare and retain effective teachers and school leaders, and to encourage partnerships between LEAs, institutions of higher education, and community stakeholders in order to improve our nation's schools and student achievement. To reach these goals the Teacher Quality Program administers the following discretionary grant programs and initiatives:
