The general public is invited to attend each of the Town Hall meetings. In an effort to provide adequate accommodations for those attending we ask that you register with the Commission office by email at OpportunityinAthletics@ed.gov or fax 202-260-4560. Please include in your registration your name, affiliation if appropriate, and contact information.

Each Town Hall meeting will include three panels composed of four invited speakers to make statements on the various topics addressed in the commission's charter.

Those who would like to be considered to participate as one of the invited speakers please submit your request by email at OpportunityinAthletics@ed.gov. The request should include the name of the person and/or organization to be represented and a short paragraph stating what aspect of Title IX and the Charter you would like to address. Requests will be reviewed and the selection will be made so as to provide a broad representation on a wide range of issues within Title IX as it relates to athletics.

All aspects of Title IX as it relates to athletics will be considered at each Town Hall meeting. The second meeting in Chicago will primarily focus on Title IX as it relates to High Schools and Junior Colleges; however there will be an opportunity to comment on Title IX in general.

Those of you who would like to submit your comments for the record you may send them by email to OpportunityinAthletics@ed.gov or to the commission office at: Office of the Commission on Opportunity in Athletics, U. S. Department of Education, 400 Maryland Avenue, SW, ROB-3, Room 3060, Washington, DC 20202.
